Hong Kong Scholars Programme

The programme was jointly launched by the Society of Hong Kong Scholars and the China National Postdoctoral Council under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security in 2010. It aims to help professors in Hong Kong engage high quality PhD graduates from leading universities on the mainland to undertake postdoctoral research work and training in Hong Kong. The stipend of the scholars will be shared between the mainland government and the Hong Kong supervisors. Applications are submitted to the China National Postdoctoral Council via Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre for final selection. The China Engagement Office coordinates the applications of CUHK members and offers administrative support to the scholars and their host supervisors before and during the stay in Hong Kong.
