“CUHK Diversity and Inclusion Survey” Lucky Draw

Objectives
The “CUHK Diversity & Inclusion Survey” (the Survey) aims to gain better understanding of the learning/ working experiences of CUHK staff and students, and to seek further improvements.
The results of this Survey will assist the University in promoting the culture and environment for diversity and inclusion.
Eligibility
- Full-time undergraduate students/ postgraduate students/ staff members who have valid CU Link Cards as at 30 April 2022.
- The participants provide their personal information via the link at the end of the Survey.
Registration for the Lucky Draw
- Interested students or staff members should complete the Survey via designated website and provide their personal information via the link at the end of the Survey from 09:00 (HKT) on 14 February 2022 until 18:00 (HKT) on 14 March 2022.
- Each Eligible Participant can each get one (1) chance in the Lucky Draw. Any duplicated registration will be disregarded and will not be entitled to more entries to the Lucky Draw. No Eligible Participant may win more than one Prize

Result Announcement
- The Lucky Draw will take place on 23 March 2022 at The Diversity and Inclusion Office. Winners will be drawn randomly by the computer system.
- The Lucky Draw results will be announced on The Diversity and Inclusion Office’s website at dio.cuhk.edu.hk, and will be published in two local newspapers, namely The Standard (in English) and The Sing Tao Daily (in Chinese) on 4 April 2022.
- Notification will be given to the individual Winners via email provided at registration within 10 days of the Lucky Draw day.

Terms and Conditions
- The “CUHK Diversity and Inclusion Survey Lucky Draw” (the Lucky Draw) is organised by The Diversity and Inclusion Office, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (the Organiser). By participating in the Lucky Draw, a participant is deemed to have agreed to these terms and conditions. The draw will be held on 23 March 2022.
Eligible Participants
- The following individuals are eligible to participate in the Lucky Draw:
(a) Full-time undergraduate students/ postgraduate students/ staff members who have valid CU Link Cards that as at 30 April 2022; and
(b) The participants provide their personal information via the link at the end of the Survey. - By entering the Lucky Draw, the Participants hereby warrants that all information submitted is true, current and complete.
- Relevant staff members of the Organiser and of its agents and advisers who are involved in the design, operating and execution of the Lucky Draw campaign are not eligible to participate in the Lucky Draw.
Registration for the Lucky Draw
- The registration period of the Lucky Draw will begin at 09:00 (Hong Kong time) on 14 February 2022 until 18:00 (Hong Kong time) on 14 March 2022. The registrations are recorded according to the Organiser’s computer records.
- Eligible Participants are those who have duly completed the “CUHK Diversity and Inclusion Survey” via designated website during the registration period.
- Upon successful registration, each Eligible Participant can each get one (1) chance in the Lucky Draw. Any duplicated registration will be disregarded and will not be entitled to more entries to the Lucky Draw. No Eligible Participant may win more than one Prize.
Prizes
- There is a total of three (3) Lucky Draw prizes, with one winner per prize (‘Winner”).
- Prize Winners will receive one of the following prizes:
Grand Prize: Apple iPad (9th generation) (HK$2,599)
2nd Prize: Apple AirPods (3th generation) (HK$1,499)
3rd Prize: Hong Kong eslite Reading Gift Certificate (HK$500)
Results Announcements
- The Lucky Draw will take place on 23 March 2022 at The Diversity and Inclusion Office, Room 501, Mong Man Wai Building, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, New Territories. Winners will be drawn randomly by the computer system.
- The Lucky Draw results will be announced on The Diversity and Inclusion Office’s website at https://www.dio.cuhk.edu.hk/, and will be published in two local newspapers, namely The Standard (in English) and The Sing Tao Daily (in Chinese) on 4 April 2022. Notification will also be given to the individual Winners via email provided at registration within 10 days of the Lucky Draw day.
- The Organiser shall accept no responsibility for not being able to contact the Winner or unsuccessful delivery of email in case the Winner provided an inaccurate piece of information.
Prize Redemption
- Winners are required to redeem the Prizes in person on or before 30 April 2022 according to the instructions provided to them by the Organiser. At the time of the redemption of the Prize, Winners are required to present their valid CU Link Cards.
- If any winners fail to redeem the prizes within the specified period in accordance with paragraph 13 above, including without limitation failing to prove their eligibility or present the required document, they will have their prizes forfeited and there will be no selection of alternative winners. The Organiser reserves the rights to deal with all forfeited prizes in any manner deemed fit.
- Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-replaceable, and there is no cash alternative.
Personal Data
- Personal Data collected from an Eligible Participant for registration of the Lucky Draw will only be used for enrolment, administration, winner announcement/ communication and other related purposes to the Lucky Draw.
- The Organiser will take all practicable steps to keep the collected personal data confidential and to ensure the handling is in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). The Organiser will keep the collected personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which the data is collected. Personal data which is no longer required will be destroyed 45 days after the campaign ends.
General
- The Organiser has the sole and absolute discretion in, according to the relevant clauses in this Terms and Conditions, determining a person’s eligibility to enter the Lucky Draw and/or receive any Prize. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant if:
(a) The Organiser has reasonable grounds to believe the participant has breached any of these terms and conditions; and
(b) The information provided is not in accordance with these terms and conditions. - No person other than the Eligible Participants and the Organiser will have any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of the provisions of these terms and conditions.
- All interpretations of these terms and conditions shall be at the sole and absolute discretion of the Organiser. In the event of any dispute arising from or in connection with the Lucky Draw, the decision of the Organiser shall be final and conclusive.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong and each Eligible Participant submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong
- If there is any discrepancy between the information contained in the promotional materials and these terms and conditions, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
- In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English and the Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
