CENTRE FOR
PERCEPTUAL AND
INTERACTIVE INTELLIGENCE

博智感知交互研究中心

ABOUT US

The Centre for Perceptual and Interactive Intelligence (CPII) was founded in 2020. Since its inception, CPII’s mission is to leverage Hong Kong’s international research networks for AI talent development and exchange, nurture AI start--ups and bring academic outcomes to meet industrial demands. With strong capabilities in computer vision, multilingual speech and language technologies, natural language processing, and AI--enabled design automation, CPII will efficiently connect research with industry to accelerate societal adoption.

OUR

R&D FOCUS

01

VISUAL INTELLIGENCE

In this programme, we try to develop the theory and the practical algorithms for knowledge processing, knowledge learning from other sources, and knowledge distillation.

SPEECH & LANGUAGE INTELLIGENCE

This programme aims to build AI technologies that can communicate with human speech and language, to form a natural user interface for human-computer interaction across a diversity of users and applications; and to support analysis of the rich information embedded in human spoken language.

VISION- AND LANGUAGE-BASED HEALTHCARE AI

This programme aims to overcome such difficulties by drawing on new advances in both medical image analysis and natural language understanding.

VISION-BASED URBAN SERVICES

In recent years, Smart City has emerged as a major technological trend that aims to integrate intelligent technologies with the natural and built environments to improve a city'a social, economic, and environmental sustainability and quality of life of residents.
