Supporting our Growth
Join us in taking CU Medicine to the next level
Already ranked among the world’s top medical schools, CU Medicine has ambitions to become even more. In order for a medical school to compete among the best, we require first-rate facilities and equipment for teaching, clinical practice and research. Thanks to the generosity of donors, we have introduced advanced medical technologies and teaching facilities which benefit both patients and students over the years. These include:
- CUHK-PWH Hybrid Cardiovascular Operation Theatre (Clinical)
- CUHK Jockey Club Minimally Invasive Surgical Skills Centre (Professional training)
With your support, we can provide state-of-the-art facilities and continue to pursue excellence.
Success Stories
The opening of a new hybrid cardiovascular operating theatre at Prince of Wales Hospital benefits not only patients suffering from cardiovascular and neurosurgical diseases, but also students of CU Medicine as well as surgeon trainees who now have the opportunity to learn state-of-the-art surgical technology.
June 2013
Thanks to a generous gift from an anonymous donor, the Faculty of Medicine has purchased the latest version of a robotically-assisted surgery system for the University’s teaching hospital. The new system, which provides 3D high definition images of operations, has already been attracting surgeons across Hong Kong, the Mainland and other areas of the regions.
