M and XL Probes for Hepatic Steatosis Diagnosis

The question “Can the same controlled attenuation parameter cut‐offs be used for M and XL probes for diagnosing hepatic steatosis?” was answered based on data gathered from the University of Malaya Medical Centre and the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong. Indeed, the study determined that the previously defined optimal cut-off values may be used for both probe sizes in the non-invasive assessment of fatty liver (J Gastroenterol Hepatol. 2018 Mar 30. doi: 10.1111/jgh.14150. [Epub ahead of print]).
