Our community of students, faculty and staff is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence, as embodied in our motto: "Transforming our Passion into Perfection".
The Faculty is an exciting and vibrant place to pursue a quality integrated medical and health science education. We are passionate about challenging students to learn the science of medicine and public health and the art of compassionate and mindful care in a collegial and collaborative atmosphere.
The Faculty takes pride in the many outstanding achievements of our alumni in patient care, research and service to the community which have been recognised both locally and globally. Innovation, creativity and leadership are the hallmarks of the Faculty of Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). A new Global Physician-Leadership Stream, the first of its kind in Asia, was launched in September 2013. This Stream is designed for a selected group of students of the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) programme. The aim of this innovative initiative is to nurture the most promising students who exhibit the potential and capacity to take up leadership roles in health policy, medical education, cutting-edge research and any new and challenging fields in the medical and health sciences. In collaboration with internationally recognised institutions of excellence such as the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, the best and brightest medical students can pursue graduate studies early at either CUHK or an overseas partner university.
The friendships nourished during their special time as students of the Faculty of Medicine create a life-long sense of belonging amongst our alumni, who continue to contribute in numerous ways to their beloved alma mater.
Whether you wish to be considered for one of our undergraduate or postgraduate programmes, are an alumnus or are simply interested in learning more about the wide range of meaningful activities and experiences on offer at the Faculty of Medicine, I invite you to explore this website.
I look forward to welcoming you to our family. Together, we can make a difference in the medical, biomedical and health science communities, both locally and internationally.
