Biography

Dr. Yujuan DONG is a Research Assistant Professor in Department of Surgery at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Surgery at CUHK in 2012 and received post-doctoral training in State Key Laboratory of Digestive Disease, CUHK (2013-2018). She was a visiting scientist in Erasmus University Medical Center, Netherlands in 2018. She has published 36 papers in peer-reviewed journals (8 of them as the first or co-first), including papers in Cancer Research, Theranostics, Oncogene, Molecular Cancer and Journal of Pathology.

As Principal Investigator, Dr. DONG obtained two NSFC grants (NSFC General Program and Young scientist program). She is a Co-I of Lim Peng Suan Charitable Trust Research Fund and key team member of National Key Research and Development Program of China (2018). Dr. DONG has received several awards including Young Investigator Award in The 13th International Gastrointestinal Consensus Symposium 2013 (Japan) and Basis Science Travel Grants in United European Gastroenterology Week (2016 and 2017). Her current research focuses on the mRNA isoform switch and epigenetic regulation of colorectal cancer.
