The 9th Inter-University Seminar on Asian Megacities

Introduction | Initiated by Keio University, University of the Philippines, Seoul National University and Tongji University, Inter-University Seminar on Asian Megacities was first held at Tokyo in 1996, and ran once a year in one Asian city. The members of the seminar group include Keio University, Khabarovsk State Technical University, Seoul National University, Chulalongkorn University, University of the Philippines, Tongji University, Tsinghua University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and National Taiwan University. |
Objectives | The seminar acts as a link between universities in the Asian countries for academic exchange and cooperation. It builds a platform for sharing their research programs and experiences on urban planning and management, particularly on the issues of urban expansion with the fast development of economy in Asian Megacities. All participants including students, professors, and other professionals and officials can benefit from the information gathering, presentation and discussions, communication and further elaboration of their research programs. |
