On entering the Learning Centres of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUSCS), all students and visitors are required to:

Mode of Delivery﹕Distance Learning

This course will NOT provide live sessions. Students will learn through written course materials in distance learning mode.

Course materials include: 'Course Guide', 'Course Notes', “Video Clips*”, 'Course Assignments' and 'Study Schedule'. Video clips that are supplemented to the course. They will only cover the main points of the course but NOT the whole content.

*Students in Postal Mode will receive printed course materials ONLY. NO video clips will be provided to students in Postal Mode.

Introduction﹕

This course aims to acquaint students with advanced grammatical structures and targets students who would like to develop and reinforce understanding of English grammar skills at the advanced level. Students will learn and practise various grammatical structures related to phrasal verbs, conjunctions, connectors, relative clauses, adverbial clauses, modals, verb complementation, noun phrases, and information organisation in a sentence. Students will also develop literary and analytical skills which enable them to be successful in future courses.
