From decades of concerted efforts to realizing a shared vision, we are most honored to be designated as CUHK-PWH International Diabetes Federation Centre of Excellence in Diabetes Care since 2018 in recognition of our high standards of care for the treatment of people with or at risk of diabetes.
The International Diabetes Federation Western Pacific Region includes 39 countries and territories and has the largest regional population which accounts for 37% of all diabetes cases in the world. Being one of the designated Centres of Excellence in the Region, our Centre not only provides full diabetes management and care services for people living with diabetes, but also imparts latest advances in diabetes care and promotes diabetes prevention through knowledge transfer of innovative research and community outreach of needs identification.
Our Centre aspires to provide holistic diabetes care and to empower patients with self management while having a multidisciplinary healthcare team at the back to support.
