Synopsis: Filmed over the course of five years in cities across China, A Young Patriot chronicles the disillusionment of a post-90s idealist as he transitions into adulthood, witnessing the realities and contradictions of his so-called nation and the world beyond. Winner of the Documentary Film Competition Jury Prize at the 39th Hong Kong International Film Festival.

About the Director: Shaanxi native Du Haibin is the creator of critically acclaimed and award-winning documentaries, including 1428 (2009), Umbrella 《傘》(2007), and Along the Railway 《鐵路沿線》(2001).
