| Dr. Sunny Tien's translation of Yu Kwang-chung's prose 娓娓與喋喋 (co-translated with Ivan Wong), has been published in Taipei Chinese PEN: A Quarterly Journal of Contemporary Chinese Literature from Taiwan (Winter, 2021). |
| In this humorous prose, Yu observes various ways people speak and analyzes them in vivacious detail. These speeches include intimate conversations as well as public oration. They can occur tersely, or with great eloquence. They can be uttered by the sophisticated and the common. But among all of these types of speeches, the one that takes the most courage is a conversation with oneself. |
