Oral examination is a process to examine the condition of your gums, teeth, jaw, and other oral factors. We will closely look at your mouth and overall oral health to determine whether or not need to schedule another dentist appointment for a specific treatment.
To begin, the dentist will ask about your medical history, current or past medications, smoking habit, drug allergy, etc. Once we have the answers to these questions, we will have a better understanding of your oral health, susceptibility to infection, and any medicine allergies.
Afterwards, the dentist will check your teeth for any signs of cavities, gum inflammation and any other abnormalities while taking notes of observations. We may also take X-ray inside of your mouth in order to take a closer look at your overall teeth and gum health. We will then tell you about any problem we found and formulate to you a tailor-made treatment plan.
