Notice for Summer Hostel Allocation 2022

Successful applicants for summer residence are reminded to take note of the followings:

Successful applicants will receive the payment notice by e-mail through CUSIS shortly. Please pay the full amount of summer hostel fees on or before 4:30pm on 19 May 2022. Any late payment will be considered as the applicant’s withdrawal of the hostel place offered.

Upon checking-in the hostel, students are required to complete Resident Registration Form at the hostel counter of respective hostels.

All residential students should read and sign on the “Undertaking for Residence at the Student Hostel of New Asia College” and strictly observe all the terms and conditions stipulated in the Undertaking.

Students enter Hong Kong border should undergo a 7-day compulsory quarantine at designated quarantine hotels and a 7-day self-monitoring at their respective hostel.

The check-in timeslots of hostel are shown as below:

- Phase 1 (21/05 – 11/06/22):10:00am on May 21, 2022

- Phase 2 (11/06 – 09/07/22): 10:00am to 12:00nn on June 11, 2022

- Phase 3 (09/07 – 06/08/22): 10:00am to 12:00nn on July 09, 2022

Any delayed check-in will be considered as the applicant’s refusal of the hostel place and the paid hostel fees will not be refunded, unless an application letter for postponement of check-in is given in advance.

For the purpose of hostel cleaning, all residents should vacate their rooms on the check-out day. Those who fail to check out on time should pay an extra HK$500 each day.

Under the COVID-19 pandemic, all residence should strictly observe the following guidelines of summer residence:

a) Overcrowding in hostels should be avoided. Visitors (including those New Asia students who are not residential students of that particular hostel) will not be allowed; and all residential students entering the hostels are expected to undergo body temperature screening arranged by hostel staff, otherwise they will be forbidden to enter the hostels.

 

b) Those residential students who are presenting with fever, sore throat, keep coughing, new loss of taste or smell and/or any symptom of COVID-19 should report to the Warden and undergo the COVID-19 RAT test immediately.
