Opening of the CUHK Medical Centre The CUHK Medical Centre (CUHKMC), a not-for-profit, private teaching hospital wholly owned by the University, commenced operations in January 2021 to provide quality, reliable and transparent healthcare services to the public. Any surpluses generated will be reinvested in the hospital’s operations to support future development and to advance the CUHK Faculty of Medicine’s research and teaching agenda. As Hong Kong’s first smart hospital, CUHKMC marks a new chapter for the city’s medical services by harnessing technology to advance clinical care. By placing the patient at the heart of care, CUHKMC is home to world-class equipment and facilities, and has introduced innovative procedures utilising digital technologies and the best clinical expertise to deliver on its mission to provide ‘pioneering solutions in healthcare’.
