In 2013–14, 30 Higher Diploma Programmes are offered for HKDSE graduates, Secondary 7 graduates of the old academic structure, students who have completed Pre-Associate Degree Programmes or Yi Jin Diploma Programmes, or those aged 21 or above. CUSCS also offers tailored corporate training courses to private companies, government departments, non-government organizations, schools and universities in Hong Kong, Macau, mainland China, and overseas. They aim to improve participants’ knowledge and skills in both English and Chinese, information technology, China business, administrative management, school leadership and management, bilingual teaching, journalism, accounting, law, public administration, city planning, landscape design and management, psychology, public health management, nutrition and health products, etc. Commendations have been received on both the course design and academic standard of these courses. In 2012, CUSCS collaborates with the Shenzhen Research Institute (SRZI) of the University to set up the Continuing and Professional Education Centre (CPEC) in Shenzhen to offer professional and general courses to individual learners for career development as well as tailor-made corporate training to commercial corporations and government departments. In order to equip and prepare mainland students for higher education in Hong Kong or overseas, CUSCS also offers the Diploma Programme for International Tertiary Education Preparation in CPEC from September, 2013. CUSCS is a self-financing unit but its academic development and policies are regulated by the University Extension Board, the Senate Academic Planning Committee, and the Senate of the University. The head office of CUSCS is situated at the Inter-University Hall on CUHK campus in Sha Tin. CUSCS has four major learning centres, located at: • Bank of America Tower, 12 Harcourt Road, Central; • Oriental Centre, 67 Chatham Road South, Tsimshatsui; • East Ocean Centre, 98 Granville Road, Tsimshatsui; and • Tsui Lam Estate, Tseung Kwan O.
