Round-shaped Pottery Inkstone with Green Glaze
Green glaze is specific to Eastern Han wares, so certainly there is green glaze pottery inkstone. There are diamond patterns on the grinding surface to enhance the grinding effect. The deep water-pool on the edge is to collect ink. This design was popular in the Tang Dynasty and the Han Dynasty as well. In the Ming Dynasty, it was named Shi Qu Yan (Stone Canal Inkstone).
