Grey pottery is the major type of pottery in the Han Dynasty. This inkstone is not round-shaped and multi-legged, which are the most common type of inkstone in the Han Dynasty. It is a kind of inkstone in the form of a clog popular in the Tang Dynasty. This reflects that the Tang inkstones in the form of a clog already appeared in the Han Dynasty. However, this Han inkstone in the form of a clog is a little different from the Tang one in the form of a clog. The inkstone surface is flat instead of slanting inwards.
