Each year the commercial and industrial sector attracted over 80 per cent of the graduates. In 1991 , the figure was further increased to 89 per cent. On the other hand, a drop of 3.6 per cent was noted in the number of those joining the government. About 70 per cent of the graduates joined the commercial and industrial sector while 23 per cent o f them took up employment in the education sector. The computer profession continued to be very attractive, absorbing some 83 per cent of the computer majors, 22 per cent of the statistics majors, 27 per cent of the mathematics majors, 16 per cent of the electronics majors and 27 per cent of the physics majors. Some 80 per cent of the electronic majors were engaged in the profession for which they had been trained.
