Learning the Ins and Outs of Innovation and Entrepreneurship

In February and March, Morningsiders attended a two-part workshop in innovation and entrepreneurship hosted by Managing Director at Artiman Ventures, Dr. Ajit Singh. Dr. Singh, a seasoned venture capitalist with experience in the medical and life science technology industries, guided students through real-life case studies to illustrate how the framework of natural selection applies to the field of innovation. Students also learned the essential components, the “do-it-yourself kit,” for a successful start-up including strategy, team dynamics, leadership culture, as well as marketing and intellectual property.

At both workshops, attendees were able to interact in small groups with Dr. Singh and ask questions about his extensive experience in the world of venture capital and technological disruption. Many thanks again to Dr. Singh for sharing his time and experience!
