MC Film Club Presents International Film Selection To Students
20February2014
Morningside's weekly film screenings gave students a taste of global cinema.
Modern Times (USA, 1936), Trainspotting (Scotland, 1996), and The Killer (Hong Kong, 1989). Through film, students gain exposure to languages and cultures they may not have encountered before, allowing them to expand their cross-cultural knowledge and broaden their taste in cinema.
By showing films that range from mainstream Hollywood classics to art-house pieces, and from European romantic dramas to Hong Kong crime films, the Morningside College Film Club aims to attract students with a variety of interests to engage in the weekly discussion of cinema. From German Kinder chocolates to Japanese Pocky, attendees also enjoy a wide array of snacks and refreshments from all over the globe. As the semester rolls on, the Morningside College Film Club will continue to provide stimulating and entertaining screenings for students to enjoy!
