Outstanding Research P r o j ect Faculty of Education 傑出研 教育學院 學生領袖發展計劃——創意批判、關愛承擔 Student Leadership Development - 4Cs 大 學 與 學 校 夥 伴 協 作中 心 獲 優 質 敎 育 基 金 資 助 , 於二 零 零 四 年 九月 至 二 零 零 五 年 八 月 進 行 「 學 生 領 袖 發 展 計劃 — — 創 意 批 判 、 關 愛 承 擔 」 , 計 劃 總 監 由 李 子 建 敎 授 、 陳 維 鄂 敎 授 、 夏 秀 禎 敎 授 和 鄭 漢 文 博 士 擔 任 。 該 計 劃 主 張 「 皇 冠 模 式」 的 學 生 領 袖 發 展 。 皇 冠 模 式 勾 畫 出 學 生 領 袖 的 基 層 素 質 及 卓 越 進 程 , 而 領 袖 發 展 亦 必 須 兼 顧 才能 和 品 格。 為 了 培 育 學生 的 創 意 、 批 判 、 關 愛 和 承 擔 等 基 層 素 質 , 硏 究 人員 設 計 了 供 高 小 及 初 中生 使 用 的 領 袖 發 展 敎 材, 並 就 敎 學 策 略 提 供 建 議 , 如 合 作 學 習 和 體 驗 式 學 習 等 。 經 敎 師 專 業 培 訓 後 , 參 與 計 劃 的六 十 所 中 小 學 分 別 應用 敎 材 於 不 同 課 堂。 另 外 , 約五 百 名 中小 學 生 領 袖 參 加了 一 系 列 培 訓工 作 坊 、 參 觀 和 講 座 後 , 分組 進 行 以 服 務 為主 的 行 動 學 習; 部 分 學 生 領 袖 更 參 與 籌 辦「 學 生 領 袖 峰 會」 , 透 過 展 覽 和 會 議總 結 過 去一 年 的 成 長 歷 程 。 這 個 計 劃 獲 敎 師 、 家長 和 學 生 領 袖 認 同 , 下一 步 是 探 討 如 何 培 育 其 他 基 層 素 質 , 引 導 學生 領 袖 邁 向 卓 越。 The Centre for University and School Partnership embarked on a Student Leadership Development Project - 4Cs (Creativity, Critical Thinking, Caring and Commitment) from September 2004 to August 2005 with the sponsorship of the Quality Education Fund. The project was led by Prof. John C.K. Lee, Prof. David W. Chan, Prof. Amy S. Ha, and Dr. Roger H.M. Cheng. Drawing from the research and expertise of the project leaders, a 'crown model' for student leadership was developed. The 'crown model' provided a clear picture of the unity of root qualities of the student leaders, with visible aspects of excellence at different levels, ranging from basic, able, to outstanding. The cultivation of both competence and character was essential in leadership development. In this project, the four root qualities at the belt of the crown, namely being creative, critical, caring and committed, were the first ones to be addressed. To promote leadership development in students with different learning abilities and in different learning stages, a learning package focusing on the development of the four root qualities was prepared for upper primary and lower secondary schools. Research proven strategies such as journal writing, cooperative learning, utilization of thinking tools and experiential learning were adopted. Teachers were trained in a series of professional development workshops and the learning package was implemented in various degrees in the 60 participating primary and secondary schools. To pursue a higher level of leadership development, about 500 student leaders form participating schools attended a series of intensive leadership training workshops, talking and visits. Self-initiated, service-oriented action learningprojects were completed by student leaders. A Student Leadership Summit was organized to facilitate student leaders to present their action learning projects and consolidate their experiences in service learning and leadership development. Feedback form teachers, parents and student leaders to the project were very positive. Based on the preliminary positive outcomes, the project will extend the 'croen modal' of stendent leadership to the development of other roof qualities and the pursuit of excellence at different levels and domains. 研究 Research 3
