2nd Tour
The programme Mother Nature Rocks rolled out by this Centre aims at encouraging students to explore the city’s countryside and to experience the nature afresh.
The first activity under Mother Nature Rocks of this academic year was successfully held on the 23rd of last month. Participants were led to visit the tunnels of the Shing Mun War Relics Trail, followed by a walk to the Kowloon Reservoir. Despite the gathering restrictions, everyone exercised a great deal of self-discipline and had fond memories of this excursion. In the second tour, we will bring you to go on a hike at Tai Lam Country Park in the autumn breeze and watch the leaf having colour change. Details are as follows:
Date: 27 November 2021 (Saturday)
Time: 10:30 am - 5:00 pm
Route: Tai Tong > Yeung Ka Tsuen > Reservoir Islands Viewpoint > Sweet Gum Woods > Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail > Tai Tong (the actual route may vary depending on the weather conditions of the day)
Target: All full-time undergraduate and research postgraduate students
Language: Cantonese (supplemented with English)
Quota: 20 (basically on a first-come-first-served basis, but priority will be given to those who have never participated in Mother Nature Rocks)
Fee: Free of charge
Deposit: HK$100 (refunded upon attendance on the event day)

Due to the pandemic, the beautiful landscape of Hong Kong has been revealed through forced domestic consumption. Going on the local excursions with us, you will be amazed by the stunning nature of our home.
The Mother Nature Rocks rolled out by this Centre aims at encouraging students to explore the city’s countryside and to experience the nature afresh. The first activity under the programme of this academic year will take you to walk the Shing Mun War Relics Trail in a manner not violating the gathering restrictions. Participants will also learn about an important domestic battle - the Defence of Hong Kong. Details are as follows:
Date: 23 October 2021 (Saturday)
Time: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Route: Tsuen Wan > Shing Mun Reservoir > Shing Mun Redoubt > Kowloon Reservoir (the actual route may vary depending on the weather conditions of the day)
Target: All full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students
Language: Cantonese (supplemented with English)
Quota: 20 (basically on a first-come-first-served basis, but priority will be given to those who have never participated in Mother Nature Rocks)
Fee: Free of charge
Deposit: HK$100 (refunded upon attendance on the event day)
Remarks: Given the possibility of entering the narrow and dark tunnels during hiking, do take the general body condition into consideration before enrolment.
