Proof-writing Exercises (Optional)

• The purpose of the `Proof-writing Exercises' is to give you some training in the writing of proofs, and to give you some ideas on how your work on proof-type questions will be marked in the `Quiz' and the `Final Examination'.
• Work on the `Proof-writing Exercises' is optional; it does not count in the overall assessment.
• Read the advice on the question sheet before attempting the questions.
