• 1. The class next Tuesday (Jan. 16th) will be rescheduled to next Thursday (Jan.18th), 6pm-8:45pm and we will meet at LSB 222. The regular meeting time, Tuesdays 9:30am-12:15pm, will be resumed on Jan. 23th.
• 2. Starting our next meeting (Jan. 18th), the venue of this class will be permanently changed to LSB222.

Course Description

This course covers the basic theory of partial differential equations equations with emphasis on elliptic equations of second order. Both the classical and modern approaches to these equations are discussed. The main concern is various a prior estimates which are useful in solving linear and nonlinear equations. Some geometric applications are included. It is suited for those who are interested in analysis or geometry.
