- Assignment policy (effective from Assignment 2 onwards): late submissions without prior notice or written justifications will have 20% marks deducted for one day delay, 50% for two days and rejected afterwards. The solutions will be available on the third day after the due date.
- (14 Feb 2018) The solutions of Assignment 2 have been uploaded. The solutions of Assignment 3 will be uploaded the day after the due date (23 Feb 2018) to help with your midterm revision. Hence late submissions for Assignment 3 will not be entertained.

Course Description
The aim of this course is to investigate the manner in which rational people interact when there are competitions. This applies to parlor games and more importantly to economy, social psychology, politics and business. We will introduce the great discoveries of Von Neumann and Nash, and discuss their impact on society. Also, we will use examples on cooperative and non-cooperative games to illustrate how some basic mathematical methods can lead to optimal strategies for deals, bargaining and decision making.
