Mathematics Alumni Foundation Scholarship

In the fundraising run started on September 2003, the Department has been receiving donations from alumni and friends. The unspecified funding thus raised has been deposited in an investment account managed by The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The capital, as well as the interest/income generated from the fund, has been used to establish this scholarship since 2004-05. The following regulations govern this scholarship:

• The amount of the scholarship is HK$10,000 for each student.
• The scholarship is awarded to one or two non-first-year full-time undergraduate students with major in Mathematics.
• The recipients will be selected by the Department of Mathematics on the basis of academic merit. The recipients should have attained cumulative major GPA 3.0 or above.
