(Resumed) Microsoft Incident Report on Users Unable to Use Multiple M365 Services

Microsoft issued an incident report on 21 Jul 2022 (Thu) about multiple Microsoft 365 service degradation.

Service Affected Users may be unable to open documents via Word Online or experience issues in different Microsoft 365 services
 Cause A recent deployment contained a broken connection to an internal storage service, which is causing an issue in which users may be unable to access or use various Microsoft 365 apps or functions. .
Incident Details Users are able to access Microsoft Word online. However, they cannot open any Word document through Word online, SharePoint or OneDrive or a web browser. As a workaround, please open the word document via a desktop app.

Meanwhile, users may experience issues accessing or using features within the following Microsoft 365 services:

– Microsoft Teams
– Microsoft Word within multiple services
– Office Online
– SharePoint Online
– Microsoft Managed Desktop

Status Microsoft has observed no further instances of impact following the initial service recovery and will continue to monitor the service to further confirm that the issue is resolved.
