HARNET Maintenance on 3 July (4:00 AM – 6:00 AM)

Cause The Hong Kong Academic and Research NETwork (HARNET) is the wide area network which links up the campus networks of the eight tertiary institutions (CUHK is one of them) in Hong Kong and connects them to the global Internet. The maintenance is scheduled for the change of service provider from HKBN to HKT.
Service Affected During the maintenance period,

  • Both HKBN and HKT will provide the global internet connection with parallel running for a while until the change is completed.
  • The Internet service will NOT be affected but users may experience a slow Internet response.
