Abstract

We are going to have a relaxed chat about graduate students around the following questions:

1. How do we see our relation to graduate students under our supervision?
2. What are our concerns about graduate students?
3. How do you help students find a research problem to work on for thesis writing? Specifically, how do you help them manage the scope?
4. What do we think of the current practice of academic research, and where it may be going?
5. What do we think of MPhil, PhD, a career in research or otherwise?
