2019. 12. 05Prof. Bolei Zhou and Prof. Ping Luo Listed on the 20 Innovators Under 35 Asia Pacific by MIT Technology Review 2020

We are excited to know that two professionals from the department have been selected on the honorable list:
- Prof. Bolei Zhou (IE Assistant Professor) - for making AI models more understandable and trustworthy to humans;
- Prof. Ping Luo (2014 IE PhD Graduate, currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, HKU) – for developing Computer Vision and AI technologies to understand human behaviors such as facial expressions, emotions, and social relationship.
Innovators Under 35 (IU35) is the most prestigious recognition worldwide from MIT Technology Review. The IU35 Asia Pacific honours the best 20 young talents from Australia, Hong Kong S.A.R., New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan whose superb technical work promises to change the world. It is the leading community of innovators, inventors and pioneers in the Asia Pacific region.
The award will be presented at the EmTech Asia conference to be arranged in February 2020. Congratulations to Prof. Zhou and Prof. Luo!
