At Bell Labs. (formally in AT&T, now in Lucent Technologies.) Research areas include software reliability engineering, software fault tolerance, distributed systems, software systems analyses and tools, software architecture design and evaluation, and fault injection experiment.

Supervised a six-language fault-tolerant flight control software project at UCLA, involving 12 full-time programmers, sponsored by the Honeywell Commercial Flight Systems Division.

Summer, 1985 NASA Project Site-Coordinator

Coordinated a four-university fault-tolerant aerospace software experiment, involving 40 full-time programmers, sponsored by the NASA Langley Research Center.
