Dr. Jacky Chan is a lecturer (internship coordinator) at the Department of SSPE and the co-founder of the Asian
Council for Health Physical Activity and Fitness. He had been a PE panel head in a secondary school for 7 years
and an education officer at the Physical Fitness Association of HK, China. Jacky received his bachelor degree,
master degree, and doctoral degree from The Chinese University of HK. He is certified as an ACSM exercise
physiologist. He is currently the deputy in-charge of Health, Fitness and Physical Activity Research at the
Department and the vice-chairperson of the Dodgeball Association of HK, China. His recent research focus lies on
fitness assessment and evaluation, and the relationship between physical activity, fitness, and academic
performance.
