Brain Health Programme
Brain Health Programme offers a one-stop checkup service for people who are concerned about brain health. It includes consultation, blood tests, cognitive screening and Automatic Retinal Image Analysis (ARIA). ARIA employs artificial intelligence (AI) to analyse retinal images and serves as a simple risk assessment tool for stroke and dementia.
Programme Features
- Comprehensive blood tests:
Apart from regular items, vitamin B12 and folate are included as they play a fundamental role in brain function.
- Hong Kong version of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (HK-MoCA):
HK-MoCA measures a comprehensive set of cognitive domains. It is a useful cognitive screening instrument for early identification of individuals with cognitive decline.
- Automatic Retinal Image Analysis (ARIA):
ARIA is a fully automated and non-invasive test utilising artificial intelligence to analyse retinal images captured by a fundus camera. It serves as a convenient risk assessment tool for stroke and dementia.
- AccuBrain® AI Brain Image Analysis (optional add-on item):
AccuBrain® is a cloud-based software incorporating AI technology to assist detection of early neurodegenerative cognitive disorders, especially Alzheimer’s disease.

Depending on the check-up items, most procedures are completed within a half day with the report available in around 14 working days.

ARIA is a convenient, safe and non-invasive assessment. Retinal images will be captured using a fundus camera.
AccuBrain® consists of three sequences of MRI, which is less than regular brain MRI. Therefore, the time required to perform AccuBrain® is shorter.
Brain Health Programme includes a comprehensive list of safe and quick assessment items that are tailored for brain health. It is ideal for annual brain health check-up. AccuBrain® is an optional assessment item and will be prescribed by physician on an as-required basis.
