Yuanan JIANG (姜元安), from September 1983 to July 1986, as a postgraduate student, followed Professor Liu Duzhou (劉渡舟), one of the most famous experts of Chinese medicine in China, to learn the theories and clinical
application of the Treatise on Cold-Attack (Shang Han Lun 傷寒論). He was a teacher at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (北京中醫藥大學) for about 20 years (1986–2005), having been engaged in classroom teaching,
scientific studies and clinical treatment.
In 1999, Professor Jiang was appointed as a professor at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Between 1995 and 2001, he worked for three years as a visiting scholar in the United Kingdom Chinese medicine
education and clinical treatment.
Professor Jiang was a senior lecturer, then deputy head and acting head of the School of Chinese Medicine and Healthcare at The Chinese University of Hong Kong – Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Community College from
August 2005 to August 2011. He joined the School of Chinese Medicine at CUHK in September 2011.
