College Teaching Staff
Thomas CHUNG (鍾宏亮) is an Associate Professor in the School of Architecture. He read architecture at Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge, during which time he enjoyed the benefits of the Cambridge college system. He is also a registered architect in the United Kingdom, and has practiced in London and Hong Kong prior to joining CUHK in 2006. In the School of Architecture, he teaches architectural history and theory, undergraduate design studio and supervises master theses. His current research focuses on cultural aspects of urban metabolism; the interplay of architecture, urban representation and cultural narratives; and the structure of commemorative spaces in urban settings. Recently, he was able to revisit Cambridge as a Visiting Fellow of Clare Hall with its friendly graduate and research fellow community. More information can be found on the departmental webpage. |
