Chung Chi College was founded in October 1951 by representatives of Protestant Churches in Hong Kong. It moved to its current site in the Ma Liu Shui Valley in 1956. In 1963, the College was incorporated as one of the three founding colleges of CUHK. Over the years, Chung Chi has committed to providing its students with whole person education with a broad and balanced development, promoting learning and growth through experience. The College had a very modest beginning with only 63 students in the first year. Now, it admits nearly 3,200 undergraduates annually and has brought over 28,000 graduates into the alumni community.
Approaching the milestone of the 70th jubilee, Chung Chi College will organize a series of celebration events in the coming months, including the classic “Ma On Shan Race”, an anniversary banquet, carnival, student forum, symposium, and art and cultural activities.
