Introduction
Formerly served as Computer Studies Teacher and Mathematics Panel Head in secondary schools, Post-doctoral Fellow at HKU, and Assistant Professor at HKIEd. Courses taught include Information Technology in Education, e-Learning in Schools, Project in Learning Sciences and Technologies, Mathematics Curriculum and Teaching: Basic Theory and Practice, Mathematical Literacy and Problem Solving, The Teaching of Algebra and Calculus, Mathematics Teaching Project Report, Subject Curriculum and Teaching (Major: Mathematics), and Mathematics Curriculum and Assessment under Educational Reform.

Wilfred has collaborated actively with researchers in other academic disciplines such as psychology. He is the Editor of Cogent Education (ESCI), the Consulting Editor of Educational Technology Research and Development (SSCI), and the Editorial Board Member of Computers & Education (SSCI), Information and Learning Sciences (ESCI), and Journal of Technology and Information Education (ERIH+). He has served as ad hoc reviewer for 40 international journals. His publications have appeared in journals such as Australasian Journal of Educational Technology, British Journal of Educational Technology, Computers & Education, Computers in Human Behavior, Education and Information Technologies, Educational Technology Research and Development, EURASIA Journal of Mathematics, Science and Technology Education, Higher Education, International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education, Journal of Educational Computing Research, Learning and Individual Differences, Mathematics Education Research Journal, The Asia-Pacific Education Researcher, and The Internet and Higher Education. He has also served as executive committee member, organizing committee member, program chair, and program committee member for several international conferences, and has presented papers in AECT, AERA, APA, ASCILITE, EdMedia, E-Learn, HERDSA, HKAECT, ICME, and PME conferences. He is the Principal Investigator of internal grants (DGR and TDG) funded by the University and external grants (PPR and GRF) funded by the Policy Innovation and Co-ordination Office and the Research Grants Council of the Hong Kong SAR Government.
