Admission Interview/Written Test
 
Full-time: Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview (Some major subjects may require shortlisted applicants to attend a written test).
Part-time (Teaching): May be invited for an interview / written test
Part-time (Non-teaching): May be invited for an interview / written test
 

Detailed Interview Arrangement

English major (Full-time & Part-time):

by 12pm, 6 Jan 2022

Application deadline

4pm, 7 Jan 2022

Emails will be sent to selected applicants to invite them to provide a 2-minute video to address some educational issues.

From 4pm, 7 Jan 2022 to 4pm, 9 Jan 2022

Those applicants will be given 48 hours to create and upload their videos on YouTube, according to the privacy settings and requirements specified by the Faculty.

By 4pm, 9 Jan 2022

The applicants have to submit their video links and provide their brief academic background to the CUHK Webform specified in the aforementioned email by the assigned deadline. No extension will be granted. No change is allowed after submission.

From late Jan 2022 to Mar 2022

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for interviews, either online or in-person. Detailed arrangements will be announced in due course.

Other majors (Full-time):


Shortlisted applicants will be invited for interviews, either online or in-person, from late Jan 2022 to Apr 2022. Shortlisted applicants will be informed by email in due course. Detailed arrangements will be announced on our website.

Other majors (Part-time):

Interviews, either online or in-person, will be arranged for shortlisted applicants from late Jan 2022 to Apr 2022 for some majors. Shortlisted applicants will be informed by email in due course. Detailed arrangements will be announced on our website.

Remarks:

  1. Shortlisted applicants must attend the interview and/or written test of the major subject applied for. Absentees will be considered having withdrawn their applications for admission to the PGDE programme. Selection criteria are based on applicants' public examination results, major/courses taken in university and their results, e.t.c.
  2. Details of interviews and/or written tests will be announced on the website and emailed to individual applicants. Applicants are advised to check their email and the PGDE website regularly for the updates. No interview letter will be sent to individual applicants.

Important notes:

  • Please check email and this page frequently for the updated interview/written test arrangement. Please be reminded to check your junk box as some of our emails may be treated as junk mail by Hotmail, Yahoo or other service providers.
  • Overseas applicants have to consider if they are available to attend the interview/written test on the above mentioned period.
  • Any request of reschedule on interview/written test will not be entertained.
  • If the local storm warning signal No.8 or above or the black rainstorm signal is in force at 7 a.m. or after, the interview/written test scheduled in the morning session will be postponed. If the warning signal is in force at 12 noon or after, the interview/written test scheduled in the afternoon session will be postponed. Applicants will be informed of the make-up arrangement in due course.
    If the local storm warning signal No.8 or above or the black rainstorm signal is cancelled before 7 a.m, the interview/written test scheduled in the morning session will be held as scheduled. If the warning signal is cancelled before 12 noon, the interview/written test scheduled in the afternoon session will be held as scheduled.
