Elaine Elaine, forgive us for what we have and haven’t said, for we talk just to keep the silence from engulfing the world. It’s like waking up in the middle of the night, and I’m rushing to tell you my dreams, because if I go back to sleep, I’ll forget. Before we lose such a moment, perhaps we should speak to you again of wild bird or colonies, devotion or witchcraft, island or spine, dismemberment or first awakening, screen or blindness, good night or whisper, heart or tear, dagger or red sea, border or mother, blow or concrete, weather or gravity.
“Elaine Elaine”, an exhibition of artworks by Bachelor’s Degree Graduates of CUFA 2020, is a gentle call to 2020. In 2019, the graduation class begins its graduation year in turmoil. At the end of 2020, the graduates attempt to respond to the experience of the past year by calling out the name of Elaine Elaine again. 30 students graduated this year, including 3 history students and 27 art students, and the exhibition showcases the work of 22 students.
