Following the last delegation visit on 16 Feb 2012, a delegation comprising 30 academics and administrative staff from Khon Kaen University (KKU), Thailand visited the School of Biomedical Sciences again on 29 May 2012 to have in-depth discussion of potential collaborations between the two institutions. During the visit, Prof. Chan Wai-Yee, Director of the School gave a welcoming remark to the delegation, followed by an introduction of the School by Prof. C.H. Cho, Associate Director (Research). The visitors were also guided to tour our core Laboratories and the animal holding facilities at the Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building.
The follow-up visit not only deepened mutual understanding and furthered the collaboration opportunities between the two institutions, but also made preparation for the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on ASIA-International Biomedical Sciences Consortium among our School, KKU and several universities and research institutes from Southeast Asia (including Malaysia, Philippine, Thailand and Vietnam) scheduled in mid September 2012.
