The Digital Design Lab (DDL) provides a comprehensive range of software and machines to realise innovative design ideas, including 42 high-performance graphic workstations, six printers/plotters and a scanner, as well as state-of-the-art fabrication facilities – all available for student use 24 hours a day.
In addition to the existing 3-axis router, high-power laser cutter and 3D printers, the DDL newly purchased a large format 5-axis CNC router and a CNC wire cutting machine. These computer-controlled multi-axis devices can efficiently fabricate a variety of materials into complex and compound surfaces with a high degree of precision.
Fabrication tools and equipment are available for reservation by students who have finished safety training. Please visit Intranet for more booking information.
