Architecture Library

Overview

The Architecture Library, established in 1994, supports the core curriculum and supplements the research activities of the School of Architecture at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

International in scope with a strong Chinese and regional emphasis, the collection comprises a wide range of monographs, periodicals, multi-media materials such as CD-ROMs and DVDs, as well as the Professor Eric Lye Kum Chew Collection.

The Collection is a generous donation by Mrs. Joan Leung Lye, architect and wife of the late Professor Eric Lye OBE FRAIC FHKIA Hon AIA (HK) Hon ARICS (1933-2003), Chair Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong. It consists of more than 300 books selected from the personal collection of Professor Lye, as well as other valuable materials such as his speeches from 1977 to 1999, architectural sketches and drawings.

Anyone with a valid library card issued by the CUHK University Library System is welcome to use the services and facilities in the Architecture Library.

Please note that free access hours of An Integrated Teaching Building (AITB) is 7:30am to 10:00pm from Monday to Saturday (excluding public holidays).

Any changes in opening hours will be posted at the entrance of the Library.
