Abstract

The first mindfulness centre in Asia founded by a university’s medical school, the CUHK Thomas Jing Centre for Mindfulness Research and Training will conduct quality, evidence-driven research to demonstrate the efficacy of mindfulness-based interventions. It will also train healthcare professionals and social workers in mindfulness-based interventions.

A recent study published by CUHK Medicine revealed that Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is more effective than Menopause Education Control (MEC) in reducing the menopause-related symptoms of anxiety and depression. The findings were published in the international scientific journal Nature.
