Chinese Studies	Not fixed (renewable)	Application is required. Selection based on academic merit and financial need
Japanese Studies	HK$42,100 (one-off)	Total score of 30 based on the best 5 HKDSE subjects
Linguistics	HK$42,100 (one-off)	Total score of 30 based on the best 5 HKDSE subjects

Notes:

1. Conversion of levels to scores: 5** = 7, 5* = 6, 5 = 5, 4= 4, 3 =3, 2 = 2
2. No application is required unless otherwise specified. The programmes will identify the suitable students for the awards.
3. All awards are considered on a competitive basis, except the scholarships for Linguistics which will be awarded to all the JUPAS admittees who have attained the required HKDSE results.
