Campus Life

An inspirational experience

Our thriving campus is the largest in Hong Kong and provides state-of-the-art facilities to support your success, both inside and outside of the lecture theatre.

Our creative and accomplished community offers plenty of opportunities for academic and personal growth. Artistic, cultural, recreational and athletic activities abound, making it easy to develop your talents, discover new interests or just to stay in shape.

Make the most of student life

Student organisations

Joining a student organisation is a great way to make friends, have fun and develop new skills. With everything from martial arts and photography to drama and debating, there is always something for everyone.

Sports

Our comprehensive sports facilities include gyms, stadiums, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a Water Sports Centre, providing everything you need to stay fit.

Where to live

You can share an apartment off campus with other students or rent a studio.
On-campus accommodation at CUHK is not available for taught master’s students due to heavy demand. Other housing information is available on the Off-campus Housing Information Web managed by the Incoming Students Section of the Office of Student Affairs.

Living off campus

Where to eat

There are several canteens, restaurants and vending machines around campus, so you will not need to go far to refuel. Try the student-run café or cook at home with fresh ingredients from the supermarket.

Learning environment

Our world-class facilities are designed to provide a rich and rewarding learning experience. With quiet study spaces and lively social venues conveniently located on a spacious campus, you can enjoy the buzz of Hong Kong life without any hassles.
