FINAL Reminder on Course Add/ Drop for University Summer Session 2021-22

Dear Students,

Please note that following for course add/drop for University Summer Session 2021-22.

1.

Classes with first teaching day from 16 - 21 May 2022 (Add/Drop on CUSIS)

The CUSIS add/drop period for University Summer Session 2021-22 will end at 8:30 p.m. on 22 May 2022 (Sunday). If you wish to add or drop classes with first teaching day that starts from 16 May to 21 May 2022 (except for those with Add/Drop Consent), please perform course add/drop on CUSIS by the above specified deadline.

Classes with first teaching day from 23 May 2022 (Add/Drop at Department with Form)

For classes that start on or after 23 May 2022, students need to approach the course offering department concerned and submit the “Course Add/Drop Form for University Summer Session” to seek approval for course add/drop within the first teaching week of the class concerned. For example, if the first teaching day of a class is on 3 June, students should approach the course offering department on or before 9 June for course add/drop.

Late Course Add/Drop (after First Teaching Week)

Students who have enrolled summer courses in this Summer Session MUST check their course enrolment under CUSIS and make sure that the records are correct and updated within the first teaching week. Any course add/drop after the first teaching week will be regarded as late course add/drop. Late course add/drop applications will NOT be approved unless there are special circumstances / reasons and supporting documents are required for consideration for granting approval. Such applications are subject to the endorsement of course teachers / departments concerned; and final approval of the Registrar. Students should consult teachers’ advice prior to submitting the late course add/drop applications. For details, please refer to RES website.

Please note that, with effect from this Summer Session, a new System function has been developed under CUSIS for application for late course add/drop. Students who have special reasons and need to add or drop course(s) after the course add/drop period (i.e. first teaching week) should apply for late course add/drop on CUSIS using the “Late Course Add/Drop (UG)” function on CUSIS. Please observe relevant information on the related website, including application periods for courses with different start date of the classes.

The CUSIS application for late course add/drop will close at 11:59 p.m. on 2 July 2022 (the last teaching day of University Summer Session 2021-22). NO application for late course add/drop will be entertained on or after 3 July 2022. Students MUST observe this deadline closely.
