Important Information for the Start of New Academic Year 2022-23 |
Dear Students, |
Please note the following important information in relation to the start of the new academic year 2022-23 and course enrolment under CUSIS. |
1. |
Update personal information in “Profile” tile under CUSIS |
All students should review their own personal information under CUSIS, and update them whenever necessary. The University may need to contact you by phone/mail in some urgent occasions. For students who are going to graduate in 2022-23, please be reminded that upon graduation, students' personal data will be converted to alumni data for further communication and other purposes, where applicable. |
2. |
Check ‘My Academics’ in “Profile” tile under CUSIS |
For students who have applied and been approved for declaration/change of major or study period with effect from 1 August 2022, they should check carefully under CUSIS ‘My Academics’ whether the records have been updated. Besides, other students should also check carefully their expected term of graduation. If there are any discrepancies, they MUST contact RES for clarification. |
3. |
1st Term Course Enrollment under CUSIS |
• |
Students should check their time appointments for course selection in “Enrollment Dates” under CUSIS on 3 August or after. It is students' responsibility to check the time appointments under CUSIS and logon CUSIS at the designated time periods for course registration. |
• |
Prior to course registration, students should (i) use “Class Search/Add to Cart” to put the intended courses in the “Shopping Cart”, (ii) use “Validate” system function to check time clashes and fulfilment of course enrolment rules and, (iii) use “Teaching Timetable by Subject/Department” to see if the class quotas are reserved for specified groups of students. For details, please refer to “1st Term Course Registration and Add/Drop, 2022-23 for Year 2 or above students” posted on RES homepage. |
• |
As departments may make amendments to the timetable information and/or course enrolment rules, students are recommended to use the “Validate” system function once again prior to their actual course registration and make sure the planned class enrolment is not affected. |
• |
Application for exceeding term course load in 1st term 2022-23 (for update of term course load for course registration period) will close on 1 August 2022 (11:59 p.m. HKT). Please allow time for your Major Department to consider the applications and results will be released ONLY on CUSIS from 5 August or after. Please contact RES by email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) if the result has NOT been released on CUSIS by 5:00 p.m. HKT on 9 August. |
• |
Students should always refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) first and only contact RES by email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) with screen capture of the problem message if they encounter problems during course registration. |
