Important Information for Full-time Undergraduate Students for the Summer 2022

Dear Students,    

Please take note of the following pertaining to term/ graduation assessment of 2021-22, and other important information in relation to various applications and preparations for the new academic year 2022-23. Please take appropriate actions (if applicable).

1.

Academic results for 2^nd term 2021-22 will be released on 1 June 2022. Term assessment will be processed. Students with academic problems (e.g. academic probation, extended academic probation or discontinuation) will receive individual notifications by e-mail/mail. Students with academic problems should observe the notifications and take necessary actions by the deadline, if applicable.

For graduating students, the graduation results (i.e. honours classification) will be released on 21 July 2022 on RES homepage (http://www.res.cuhk.edu.hk).

Information on “Change Major, Declare 2nd Major, Change Study Period and Register 2nd Degree 2022-23” has been posted on RES homepage. The application periods are listed below. Eligible students MUST follow the prescribed procedures for submitting the applications.

•  Register 2^nd degree                     : 16 May - 2 June 2022 

•  Change major                              : 6 - 30 June 2022

•  Confirmation of change of major : 11 - 15 July 2022
    (under CUSIS)

•  Change study period                   : 6 - 30 June 2022

•  Declare 2^nd major#

                     1^st term                      : 13 - 26 September 2022 (tentative) 

                     2^nd term                     : 16 - 27 January 2023 (tentative)

#only applicable for students in their last term within the normative study period

Please observe the following schedule for 1^st term course registration and add/drop. For details, students should enquire the “Information on 1^st Term Course Selection and Add/Drop 2022-23” which will be posted on RES homepage around mid-July 2022.

1^st term course registration and add/drop (tentative)

10 August 2022 : Year 4 or above and final year students, Year 3 or above students admitted with Advanced Standing and Year 2 or above students admitted to senior-year places

12 August 2022 : Year 3 students and Year 2 students admitted with Advanced Standing

17 August 2022 : Year 2 students

30 August 2022 : New students 

13 - 26 September 2022 : 1^st term course add/drop
