Dr. Owen Ko is a Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics and Principal Investigator at the Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences, Chow Yuk Ho Institute of Innovative Medicine and Gerald Choa Neuroscience Centre, Faculty of Medicine at CUHK. He is a clinician–scientist who received medical training at CUHK and PhD training at University College London. Dr. Ko’s work has made essential contributions to the understanding of how cortical microcircuits are organized, and has also recently started research on the pathogenesis underlying cerebral small vessel disease. He has published in Nature, Science, Nature Neuroscience and other prestigious journals. He was a runner-up of the international Eppendorf & Science Prize for Neurobiology in 2014. |
